What does soy meat taste like?
Basically, the taste of soy meat, like that of animal meat, depends on how it is prepared. Spices, herbs and various sauces have a big influence on the taste. However, a typical meat eater will generally notice the difference. The reason for this is the saturated fatty acids that soy meat does not contain in the same quantities as animal meat. The consistency of soy meat is fibrous and is therefore similar to the tendons in an animal.
Soy meat in vegan and vegetarian diets
Soy meat is not only an ethical alternative to animal meat, but also a healthy one. Due to various scandals and diseases in cattle, pigs and other animals, many people have decided to adopt a vegetarian diet. Soy meat also contains many vitamins such as vitamin A, B1, B2 and folic acid, as well as purely plant-based protein. Soy meat is also often cholesterol-free and gluten-free. The former in particular is a widespread health problem in today's society. The recommendation of many doctors to consume less cholesterol is definitely guaranteed with soy meat. Switching from animal meat to soy meat usually takes about 3-4 weeks. After that, the body has "forgotten" the taste of animal meat. However, since iron deficiency can occur, further measures should be discussed with a doctor so that physical deficiency symptoms do not occur here either.
