The WWF special edition from the rainforest, for the rainforest!

What is special about this chocolate: The beans for the bars come exclusively from cooperatives in WWF project areas in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
Because enjoyment and sustainability do not have to be mutually exclusive. The cooperatives grow the cocoa in so-called chakras, i.e. forest gardens, together with numerous other useful and medicinal plants. This means that the rainforest is preserved and does not have to give way to monoculture. This also offers another important advantage: the cocoa farmers diversify their income by producing other products for their own consumption or the local market in addition to cocoa.
The slightly spicy tone of the chili and the creamy tone of the cocoa are ideally matched and won the Silver Medal World 2017 at the International Chocolate Awards. This bar is based on a chili pepper recipe used by the Mapuche peoples in southern Chile and is rich in vitamin A.
