Golden yellow cornflakes - traditionally rolled. The traditional method for making cornflakes is rolling. This method is a little more expensive, but much gentler. The corn kernels are cut and boiled with corn syrup and sea salt. This procedure breaks down the starch, making it digestible for us. The starch structure of the corn kernel is retained, however, and our body breaks down the rolled flakes more slowly. This is why they keep us full for longer. After the cooking process, the cornflakes are gently roasted so that they taste nice and crispy.
