The collected cocoa beans are fermented, cleaned and roasted to develop the typical aroma. The cocoa is then pressed, crushed and packaged to preserve its aroma.

The HAND IN HAND project is Rapunzel's own fair trade program. The basic belief is that ecological and social sustainability go 'hand in hand'. These projects combine the idea of fair trade with that of organic farming.
