The sweet alternative to cocoa powder. The powder tastes sweet and malty with a slightly bitter note and is reminiscent of caramel. Carob powder is obtained from the fruit of the carob tree. It naturally contains sugar, is low in fat, rich in calcium and provides valuable fiber. Carob powder does not contain any stimulants such as caffeine or theobromine.
Production:
Carob powder is obtained from the pods of the carob tree. The pods are dried, chopped, toasted and ground into carob powder. Finally, the powder is sieved and packaged.
