  • Preparation
    1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C with top/bottom heat and line a 12-cup muffin tray with cases. (It also works without a muffin tray. Simply place the cases on a baking tray and get started.) 2. Put the baking mix in a bowl. Add the butter and egg and mix with your hands or the mixer (dough hook) until you have a crumbly dough. Take 1/3 of the dough and put it aside for the crumble topping. Add the diced apples to the rest of the dough and knead evenly. The dough will remain crumbly and the apple pieces will be loosely bound to the crumble dough. Baking will then bind the crumbles and apples together. For vegan preparation, knead the baking mix with margarine and apple puree. 3. Distribute the dough evenly into the muffin cases. To do this, scoop out a heaped portion of the dough with a tablespoon, fill the cases and press down lightly. Optionally mix the dough for the crumble topping with cinnamon and almond slivers. Then distribute the crumbles evenly on top of the muffin cases. 4. Bake for about 30 minutes on a medium rack. Allow to cool on a wire rack before eating. Tip: Serve with vanilla sauce, vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
