Amalaki syn. Amla - Phyllantus emblica - is a very beautiful, medium-sized, deciduous tree with pinnate leaves, pale green flowers and round pale green to yellow fruits. The fruits are used in Ayurvedic nutrition. The powder from the fruits, which is finely and gently ground (below 40°C) in Cosmoveda production, comes from our Indian and Sri Lankan fair trade and organic projects.

The amount given here corresponds to traditional Ayurvedic recommendations. ² Polyphenols are bioactive, secondary plant substances that shape the dosha character of plants in the form of colorants, flavorings and tannins.
